Legends of Rupganj and Gazi Group Cricketers confirmed their places in the Super League phase of the Dhaka Premier League (DPL) after impressive victories in today's matches, joining defending champions Abahani Limited, Mohammedan Sporting Club, and Gulshan Cricket Club.

At the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur, Legends of Rupganj defeated Brothers Union by 10 runs via the D/L method. Legends of Rupganj posted a challenging total of 277 for 9 in 50 overs, with Soumya Sarkar leading the charge with a brilliant 80 runs from 79 balls.

Pacer Shoriful Islam was the standout performer with the ball, claiming a career-best 6 for 40 to restrict Brothers Union to 260-9 in 48.4 overs. The match was cut short by rain, ensuring Legends of Rupganj's victory.

Meanwhile, at the BKSP-3 ground, Gazi Group dominated Partex Sporting Club with a commanding 170-run win. Gazi Group, opting to bat first, posted an imposing total of 302-7 in their allotted 50 overs. The innings was led by captain Anamul Haque Bijoy, who contributed a solid 78 runs off 90 balls. Bijoy's partnership with Sadikur Rahman (46 runs) laid the foundation for the high total. Despite Bijoy's dismissal, Gazi's middle-order, including Sabbir Hossen (64*) and Shamim Mia (53), ensured their side crossed the 300-run mark.

In reply, Partex Sporting Club was unable to chase the mammoth total and was bowled out for just 132-9 in 31.5 overs. Shamim Mia, Wasi Siddiquee, and Tofael Ahmed each claimed two wickets to stifle Partex's chase. Mohammad Adil fought valiantly for Partex, scoring an unbeaten 53, but it was not enough to avoid defeat.

At the BKSP-4 ground, Dhanmondi Sporting Club, guided by captain Nurul Hasan Sohan's scintillating 95-ball 97, registered a five-wicket win over Rupganj Tigers Cricket Club. Although both teams had already been eliminated from the Super Six race, Sohan's performance stood out as a highlight of the match.

Rupganj Tigers posted a challenging total of 280-7, thanks to contributions from Nasir Hossain (77) and Asadullah Galib (65). However, Sohan's knock, along with a quickfire 40-ball 55 from Yasir Ali Chowdhury, steered Dhanmondi to 284-5 in 47.1 overs, securing a well-earned victory despite Sohan falling just five runs short of a century.
