A microbus driver of private television channel, Somoy TV, was injured as miscreants hurled a crude bomb on his vehicle in Chittagong city this evening.

Abdul Hakim sustained splinter injuries around 6:00am when miscreants blasted a handmade bomb on his microbus which was parked along the road in front of the television channel office in Ashkar Dighir Par, reports our Chittagong correspondent.

The senior correspondents of the channel blamed the activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and its student wing, Islami Chhatra Shibir, for the bomb attack.

Hakim is now undergoing treatment at Chittagong Medical College and Hospital.

No police comment was found immediately.
