Bangladesh U-16s football team found some solace in the SAFF U-16 Football Championship as they finished third after beating Afghanistan 1-0 in the place-deciding match at the Nepal Army Ground in Kathmandu yesterday.
Al Amin Tushar separated the sides in the 55th minute to bring victory for the young tigers. India emerged champions as they beat hosts Nepal by the same margin in the final.
Bangladesh U-16s side are scheduled to return home today.
