Chief Prosecutor Ghulam Arieff Tipoo

Chief Prosecutor Ghulam Arieff Tipoo has expressed his satisfaction at the capital punishment awarded to Jamaat linchpin Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mojaheed for wartime offences.

"This (verdict) has made us happy," Tipoo said in an immediate reaction after the International Crimes Tribunal-2 judgement.

His team member, Mukhlesur Rahman Badal, said the verdict has fulfilled the expectation of the nation.

"The nation has got the much-awaited justice after long 42 years," a visibly happy Badal said standing amid an arm of prosecutor out the ICT-2 building.
