Celebrate Pohela Boishakh with Rang
For every Bengali, Pohela Boishakh is an occasion without any equal. It is a festival that surpasses religion and race, and unites every Bengali in its celebrations.
This Boishakh Rang honours, through an exhibition of their latest designs at all Rang outlets till 14 April 2013, the countless artisans in rural Bangladesh who are responsible for the country's wonderful handicraft industry. The new collection sports unique motifs in the shape of the traditional hand-fans used so extensively throughout the country. These motifs have been used on saris, panjabis, fatuas, shalwar kameez sets, T-shirts, mugs, bags, etc.
Keeping in mind the hot weather during the festival, Rang has mainly worked on comfortable cottons. The collection boasts clothes in colours like red, black, yellow, blue, purple and magenta that embody the hues of rural Bangladesh.
Rang's fashion house for the elderly, Shroddha, has also launched a similar themed collection for Boishakh with tie n' dye, block prints, appliqué, artwork and screen-print having been used.
Rang has also launched a new showroom for those at Uttara at House #96, Lake Drive Road, Sector #7, Uttara Model Town. Call #01713 006 8040.
