Three associate bodies of the BNP — Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal, Jubo Dal, and Swechchhasebak Dal — are set to hold a massive rally titled "Establishing the Political Rights of the Youth" outside the party's central office in Naya Paltan on May 28.

The event, which organisers say could draw as many as 15 lakh participants from Dhaka, Sylhet, Faridpur, and Mymensingh, was announced at a press conference at the BNP headquarters in Dhaka on Saturday.

To build momentum for the rally, the three wings have been conducting month-long outreach programmes, engaging young people across Bangladesh.

"We witnessed a grand assembly of youth in Chattogram. In Khulna and Bogura, we achieved 100 percent of our target," said Swechchhasebak Dal President SM Jilani.

"We expect to break all records in Dhaka with 15 lakh young men and women joining the rally," added Jubo Dal General Secretary Nurul Islam.

He alleged that jobs under the previous government were distributed along partisan lines.

"The youth demand that the state ensures their employment, and BNP has the capability to do so. If BNP comes to power, we will create one crore jobs within the first 18 months," he added.

BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman will join the rally virtually as chief guest and is expected to outline the party's vision for the future, including its state structure, political priorities, and youth-focused strategies.

Senior leaders such as Standing Committee members Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, Abdul Moyeen Khan, Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury, and Salahuddin Ahmed are also scheduled to address the rally.
