A clash between students of Dhaka City College and Ideal College at the Science Laboratory intersection this afternoon disrupted traffic in the surrounding areas, causing significant inconvenience to commuters.

The altercation began around 4:45 PM and continued intermittently until the filing of this report at approximately 6:00pm, according to witnesses.

Razib Gayen, Assistant Commissioner (Traffic) of the Dhanmondi zone, stated that the clash led to severe traffic congestion in the area.

Eyewitnesses reported that over a hundred students from Ideal College, armed with sticks, gathered in front of Dhaka City College and began throwing brick chips. In response, Dhaka City College students retaliated in kind, escalating tensions.

Police are actively working to bring the situation under control.
