JnU students launch 'Long March to Jamuna'

Thousands of Jagannath University students began a "Long March to Jamuna" programme today, suspending all classes and exams to press home their three-point demand.

Under the banner of the "JnU Oikya" platform, the students gathered outside the university's Shaheed Minar in the morning and later started heading towards Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus's office.

Around 11:55am, the rally passed the Ray Saheb Bazar intersection, reports our correspondent from the spot.
The demands include an increase in the university budget and the introduction of a housing allowance.
