Driver hacks bus owner to death

A bus owner was hacked to death last night allegedly by a driver in the city's Adabor area following an altercation over the daily rent for the vehicle.
The deceased is Shwapan Khan, 40, owner of Bhuiyan Paribahan, which runs on the Mohamadpur-Abdullahpur route.
Adabor Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Abdul Malek said the driver used to run a bus of the Bhuiyan Paribahan on a contractual basis.
Last night, an altercation broke out between the owner and the driver, Mohammad Sohel, over the daily rent. At one point, Sohel hacked the owner with a machete.
Shwapan was taken to the Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital where a doctor declared him dead. Malek said the driver is on the run.
