2 SIs stabbed during anti-narcotics drive

Two policemen were stabbed allegedly by drug dealers during an anti-narcotics drive in the capital's Sayedabad rail line area on Friday night.
Faisal Ahmed, officer-in-charge of Wari Police Station, said a police team from the station conducted the drive around 9:45pm and detained one person.
He said as the team was escorting the detainee away, a group of suspected drug dealers attempted to snatch him and attacked the police, he said.
Kawsar Ahmed, 32, and Moniruzzaman, 30, were admitted to Rajarbagh Police Lines Hospital.
Police detained three people in this connection.
