‘Investigation needed to determine whether Gulistan explosion was sabotage’

Kamal Uddin Ahmed, chairman of National Human Right Commission, today urged the government to find out whether the explosion in Gulistan was a case of sabotage or an accident.
In light of previous experiences, Kamal Uddin said he has the ground to suspect it could be a case of sabotage.
The NHRC chairman made the comments after a visit to the spot around 11:45am.
He said that in the past there have been many terror activities in the country and law enforcers have made arrests following that.
Law enforcement agencies must investigate and find out whether the series of blasts in Chattogram, Science Lab and Gulistan have anything in common, he added.
A deadly explosion at a building in Gulistan yesterday left 17 people dead and at least 100 injured.
