Inspector General of Police (IGP) Md Ismail Hossain has said that police have taken all-out steps to eradicate terrorism from the country, reports BSS.

The IGP was addressing a large gathering on the occasion of opening a newly constructed building of Narundi police investigation centre in Jamalpur recently.

He said that police forces and fought for the liberation of the country with the people. He called upon the peace-loving people to cooperate with the police forces in maintaining the law and order situation.

On assumption of office as Inspector General of Police, Md Ismail Hossain, first IGP from greater Mymensingh district, was accorded rousing receptions in Jamalpur.

He attended a reception given by the teachers and students of Bhatura High School where he studied for eight years.

Reception was also accorded to him in a large gathering held at Jamalpur Public Hall on December 27.

Paurosava chairman Faizur Rahman presided over the meeting.
