Commemorating the legacy of her father, noted singer, anchor and songwriter Alif Alauddin has released her father's song "Tumi Chole Gecho" as a tribute on the first death anniversary of Alauddin Ali. Written and composed by her father, the song was originally sung by her mother Salma Sultana on BTV in 1983 but has never been recorded.

"I used to hear my mother sing this track on harmonium when I was very young and I had requested her to teach me this song," shares Alif Alauddin. "Since then, this song has always been very close to my heart. I have tried my best to sing this number just as she had taught me."

 "This single reminds me of how music used to be the bond between me and my parents. Growing up in their shade has taught me how to be humble and down to earth and the video is just as simple as they were as human beings," adds the singer.

The song was first released online on Alif Alauddin's official YouTube channel, and later shared on social media via her official pages. The music arrangement and video have been done by famed Artcell guitarist Kazi Faisal Ahmed.
