New postings have been given to eight deputy inspectors general (DIG) or equivalent ranked police officers on Monday.
DIG Nawsher Ali of Chittagong range was replaced by Chittagong Metropolitan Police Commissioner Mohammad Shafiqul Islam.

DIG Md Moniruzzaman of Armed Police Battalion was replaced by Abu Musa Mohammad Fakhrul Islam Khan, director of Central Police Hospital, Rajarbagh.
Moniruzzaman has been transferred to marine police while outgoing DIG Mohammad Sadikur Rahman of police HQ has been made the director of the hospital.
Another DIG Humayun Kabir of police HQ has been transferred to Barisal range.
