Today is the 37th death anniversary of Lt AM Ataul Haque, a freedom fighter and former acting chief of Bangladesh Navy.
He joined the 1971 Liberation War defying allegiance to the then Pakistan Navy, says a press release.
After the independence, he served Bangladesh Navy as its acting chief till April, 1972. He died of a cardiac arrest in Combined Military Hospital, Dhaka in 1977.
