A new committee of the 35th BCS batch Bangladesh Administrative Service Association (BASA) was formed yesterday, said a press release.

Tanvir Farhad Shamim and Fazle Elahi were elected as president and general secretary of the new committee respectively.

Tanvir, a former student of Mass Communication and Journalism department at Dhaka University, is now serving as the assistant commissioner (AC-land) of Gazipur's Kapasia upazila, while Elahi, an ex-student of Applied Physics, Electronics and Communication Engineering of Chittagong University, is the AC land of Damudya upazila in Shariatpur.

Besides, Jakir Hossain, AC Land of Feni's Sonagazi upazila, was elected as the treasurer of the new committee.

Some 325 members cast their votes online from 9:00am to 7:00pm yesterday, the press release said.

The 35-memeber full-fledged committee will be declared soon, it added.
