Chhatra League leaders in Brahmanbaria today said BCL will file a sedition case against Hefajat-e-Islam if the organisation does not offer an apology over a false claim about the mayhem in the district.

The district BCL unit president Rabiul Hossain Rubel and general secretary Shahadat Hossain Shovon made the remark at a press conference at Brahmanbaria Press Club around noon today.

Hefajat's Brahmanbaria district unit president and central Nayeb-e Amir Sajedur Rahman recently visited the press club, damaged during Hefajat's hartal on March 28, and claimed that none of the organisation was involved with the mayhem in the district.

About the remark, Shovon said that BCL termed Hefajat's claim as completely false.

He also said Hefajat leaders, from the beginning of the incident, have been trying to mislead religious people.

While speaking at the press conference, Rabiul demanded judicial investigation into the mayhem. He also demanded arrest of the criminals who were behind the incident and that they be brought to book.
