The cyber security and crime unit of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has started a drive to arrest the people who made "derogatory comments" on a photo of Shakib Al Hasan's daughter on Facebook.

"We are trying to bring them under the law after identifying the Facebook IDs from where the derogatory comments were made," AFM Al Kibria, deputy commissioner of the cyber security and crime unit told The Daily Star.

Shakib Al Hasan did not contact police about the matter, said Kibria.

Rather, they are doing the work on their own initiative.
