Liton murder: Kader confesses his involvement

Former Jatiya Party lawmaker Abdul Kader Khan today gave confessional statement under section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure in MP Liton murder case.

“We are hopeful to submit the charge sheet within 15 days,” Khandaker Golam Faruq, deputy inspector general, Rangpur range, told The Daily Star.

He agreed to give confessional statement in the murder case after his involved was shown during remand, said the DIG.

Khader Khan was arrested from his residence/clinic in Rahmannagar area of Bogra town on February 21.

Later on the next day, police took him on a 10-day remand through court.

Liton was killed after unknown assailants opened fire on him inside his home in Sundarganj upazila of Gaibandha on December 31 last year.

Liton's sister Tahmida Akhter Kakoli filed the case with Sundarganj Police Station against four to five unknown people.
