Lizol revives Ramadan mosque cleaning campaign 'Porichhonotai Pobitrota'

Lizol, the disinfectant floor and surface cleaner brand from Reckitt Benckiser, has reintroduced its widely discussed Ramadan mosque cleaning initiative, 'Porichhonotai Pobitrota,' for a third consecutive year.

Following the success of previous campaigns, the brand is once again undertaking a national effort to clean 100 mosques across Bangladesh, reinforcing its commitment to hygiene and community well-being during the holy month.

The campaign commenced at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque, signaling the start of a month-long drive aimed at maintaining a clean and hygienic environment for worshippers. Expanding across all seven divisions of the country, Lizol's team—working alongside local volunteers, religious leaders, and community members—will clean 10 mosques per division, covering 70 mosques outside Dhaka. An additional 30 mosques within the capital are also part of the initiative.

With mosques serving as focal points for worshippers during Ramadan, particularly for prayers and iftar and sehri gatherings, cleanliness remains paramount. Acknowledging this need, Lizol is also providing each mosque with a one-year supply of floor cleaning solutions, as well as Ramadan Calendar Boards and Hygiene Kit Boxes to support continued hygiene maintenance beyond the campaign.

"For the past two years, we have received an overwhelming response to our mosque cleaning drive, underscoring its necessity," said Rakib Uddin, Manager of External Affairs at Reckitt Benckiser (Bangladesh) PLC. "By bringing it back for the third time, we aim to further assist mosque caretakers and worshippers in maintaining a clean and serene environment throughout Ramadan."

Sabrin Maruf Tinni, Marketing Manager at Reckitt Benckiser (Bangladesh) PLC, emphasized the broader mission behind the initiative. "At Reckitt Benckiser, we believe brands have the power to create meaningful change. Through 'Porichhonotai Pobitrota,' Lizol is not just promoting hygiene but fostering a culture of cleanliness. This annual campaign aligns with our commitment to community well-being, ensuring that Muslims can observe their prayers in a hygienic space."

Reckitt Benckiser, the parent company of Lizol, is a global leader in hygiene, health, and nutrition, striving to improve lives through innovative products and impactful initiatives. With campaigns like 'Porichhonotai Pobitrota,' the company exemplifies how businesses can contribute to public health and community welfare, making a tangible difference in Bangladesh.
