Dabir-Sohani-Suraiya Foundation: DU students get scholarships

The Dabir-Sohani-Suraiya Foundation awarded scholarships to meritorious and financially challenged students of the Faculty of Business Studies at Dhaka University yesterday, at the Professor Dr Abdullah Farouk Multipurpose Hall.

Prof Mahmood Osman Imam, dean of the Faculty of Business Studies at DU, and Chowdhury Mohammed Hanif Shoeb, president of the foundation and managing director of Salma Group, a business in textiles and housing, handed over the scholarships to the recipients, said a press release. Among others present at the event were Arfan Ali, former president and managing director of Bank Asia Limited and vice president of the Dabir-Sohani-Suraiya Foundation, as well as faculty members of the Faculty of Business Studies.
