BP celebrates 40-year milestone with Meghna Petroleum

BP, the British multinational oil and gas company, and Meghna Petroleum Limited, the national oil company under Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation, have celebrated their longstanding association spanning 40 years, which has helped transform the automobile and lubricants industry in Bangladesh.

The occasion was marked by a celebratory programme, attended by members of BP and the management teams of the state-owned national petroleum company in Dhaka recently, according to a press release.

Commenting on the celebration, Kedar Lele, vice-president for South Asia at BP Lubricants, stated, "Over the last four decades, Meghna Petroleum has played a significant role in establishing BP Lubricants' brand image, market share, and enhancing BP product accessibility across Bangladesh."

"With the 40-year milestone, this association continues to soar to new heights of excellence," he added.

Md Tipu Sultan, managing director of Meghna Petroleum Limited, said, "Our association with BP spans an incredible 40 years, a journey built on mutual trust, collaboration, and shared success."

Sultan further remarked, "As we celebrate this milestone, we remain deeply committed to supporting BP's ambitions in Bangladesh through our extensive network, strong market presence, and proven capabilities."

Meghna Petroleum has been a vital partner in BP Lubricants' product distribution journey, leveraging its extensive network of filling stations, dealer network, strong brand legacy, and deep engagement with B2B accounts.
