Sweden sees enormous potential in Bangladesh's human resources in the IT sector and the Scandinavian nation believes both the countries can benefit by utilising this human resource.

Alexandra Berg von Linde, ambassador of Sweden, shared her views at a meeting with Russell T Ahmed, president of Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS), at the Swedish embassy in Dhaka recently.

The ambassador appreciated the growth Bangladesh's ICT industry achieved in the last few years at the frontier technologies and suggested promoting its success stories abroad, the BASIS said in a statement today.

She said the collaboration between private sectors of the two countries in the ICT sector will secure the mutual interests of both the nations.

ICT industry promotion in international forums is very important to highlight the readiness of Bangladesh's local companies, said Ahmed.
