Dhaka stocks closed slightly higher today with an increase in turnover, rebounding from yesterday's decline. 

The DSEX, the key index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), gained 12.74 points, or 0.24  percent, to close at 5,211.53. 

Among the traded securities, 176 advanced, 156 declined, and 64 remained unchanged.  

Turnover increased 6 percent to Tk 443.56 crore compared to the previous session. 

The Shariah-based DSES index lost 0.18 percent to 1,153.60 points, while the blue-chip DS30 index edged up 0.13 percent to 1,921.63.  

Shinepukur Ceramics topped the gainers' list, rising 9 percent, while  Meghna Cement Mills fell the most of 4 percent.
