Stocks rebound in morning trade 

Stocks gained in early trading today, recovering from the two-day losing session.

The DSEX, the benchmark index of the premier bourse, gained 12.38 points, or 0.26 percent, to 4,758.80 as of 11:18 am.

The Shariah-compliant DSES index inched up 0.27 percent to 1,040.06, while the DS30, which represents blue-chip stocks, was up 0.02 percent to 1,753.68.

Turnover, a key indicator of market activity, stood at Tk 88.17 crore during the session.

Of the issues traded, 194 advanced, 109 declined, and 74 remained unchanged.

Baraka Patenga Power posted the highest gain, rising 9 percent, while Sonali Life Insurance Company registered the biggest loss, dropping 6 percent.
