Stocks fall after four-day rally

Dhaka stocks fell today, breaking a four-day rally when the turnover also plunged.
The DSEX, the key index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), lost 14.09 points, or 0.26 percent, to close at 5,253.78.
Among the traded securities, 127 advanced, 208 declined, and 62 remained unchanged.
Turnover declined 23 percent to Tk 463.39 crore compared to the previous session.
The Shariah-based DSES index dropped 0.19 percent to 1,173.70 points, while the blue-chip DS30 index went down 0.21 percent to 1,926.18.
Bashundhara Paper Mills topped the gainers' list with a 9 percent rise while Midland Bank fell the highest of 9 percent.
