The benchmark index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange has been rising since morning, with the DSEX increasing by 0.29 percent to 5,209.62 points as of 11:40 am.

The Shariah-based DSES index also rose by 0.29 percent to 1,161.71 points.

So far, shares worth Tk 128 crore have changed hands, with 210 stocks advancing, 80 declining, and 93 remaining unchanged.

Among the traded shares, Hakkani Pulp & Paper Mills Ltd posted the highest gain of 9.9 percent, followed by Progressive Life Insurance Co Ltd with a 9.6 percent increase.
