Stocks edged up in morning trade today, continuing the gaining streak for the fifth consecutive day.

The DSEX, the premier index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange, gained 6.49 points or 0.12 percent to 5,274.37 as of 11:08 am. 

Trading activity was mixed as 181 issues advanced, 113 declined and 86 remained unchanged.

Total turnover stood at Tk 134.82 crore. 

Shares of Bashundhara Paper Mills surged the most, 9 percent, while shares of Premier Premier Leasing & Finance Ltd dropped the most, 5 percent.

CSE All Share Price Index was down 0.04 percent, losing 6.52 points to 14,705.67.
