National award-winning actor Poppy will be starring in a web series for the first time. Titled Garden, the series is directed by Mitul. The actor talks about the web series and more in a chat with The Daily Star.

Tell us a little about the web series, ‘Garden’.

We recently finished filming it. We shot in the tea gardens of Sylhet, along with many other beautiful places.

Tell us about your character in the series.

I am playing the role of a detective for the first time on screen. It was challenging, but fun. I also took training for this role.

A lot of web-based projects are being made these days. How do you feel about it?

I think it is a positive change. As long as good stories are being told, I’m all for the change. We can reach out to more audiences with the internet too. 

What are the movies that you are working on?

I am working on four films. We still need to finish dubbing for some of those films. However, we  have wrapped up Save Life. Ferdous is my co-star in that film.
