Bangladesh Law Association (BLA) today signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Universal Medical College Hospital Ltd for providing treatment to its members and their families infected with Covid-19 at free and low cost.

The MoU was signed through videoconferencing where a number of former presidents and general secretaries of BLA took part in the session.

According to the terms and conditions of the agreement, coronavirus-infected BLA members and their family members will get treatment on priority basis from the hospital in Dhaka.

There are over 2,000 registered members of the BLA, a source of the organsation said.

BLA President Barrister Sazzad Hossain and Universal Medical College Hospital Ltd Managing Director Ashish Kumar Chakrabarty signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organisations.

BLA General Secretary Judge Keshob Roy Choudhury of Dhaka Additional District and Sessions Judge's Court thanked and expressed gratitude to the medical authority for such initiatives.
