In order to celebrate the golden jubilee of Bangladesh's independence, Enamul Karim Nirjhar, an architect, filmmaker, and lyricist, has developed yet another unique initiative involving music. His project titled "Ek Nirjharer Gaan", comprises more than 50 singers from different generations in the country who have come together to sing 63 original songs.
All the songs have been written and composed by Enamul Karim Nirjhar. The first episode will be launched with the song titled “Jeta Amader Nijer Moton” voiced by eminent singer Rezwana Choudhury Bannya.

Celebrated Bangladeshi Rabindra Sangeet artiste Rezwana Choudhury Bannya has recently just been honoured with India's prestigious Padma Shri award. The announcement was made on January 25, coinciding with India's Republic Day. Bannya is set to receive the esteemed accolade from the President of India in April-May.
The show is televised on Channel i, every Thursday and Friday at 8 pm. The programme, powered by Classical Homtex, will broadcast the grand finale in the second week of December.

I founded Shurer Dhara in 1992, inspired by my Guru, the gifted Rabindra Sangeet singer Kanika Bandyopadhyay. She has always taught me to sing in my own style and encouraged me to teach my students Tagore songs in my way. She used to say that the style of others will not suit me. Thus, I started Shurer Dhara, with the aim to teach Rabindra Sangeet in my own style.
