Pori Moni has been away from the silver screen for a while, making headlines for reasons beyond cinema. This time, her latest film “Kagojer Bou” premiered on the Bongo app yesterday (February 13). This release marks her long-awaited return, directly on an OTT platform instead of theatres.
Three Bangla films involving Indian director, Bratya Basu’s directorial, “Hubba”, Chayanika Chowdhury’s “Kagojer Bou” and Mehedi Hasan’s “Shesh Bazi” have been released to theatres all across the country today – after a stale three weeks of the new year.
This film is the second cinematic collaboration between DA Tayeb and Pori Moni following their successful appearance together in the film "Shona Bondhu".
Dewan Nazrul's classic film, "Dost Dushmon", made waves in 1977 as a Bengali remake of the iconic Bollywood hit "Sholay".
