Jalal Uddin was injured in police firing during the garment workers' movement at Konabari in Gazipur. He died while undergoing treatment at DMCH. Jalal was the supervisor of Islam Garments in Gazipur.

His wife sought justice for her husband's death in police firing during the protest.
