DMTCL has used Anwara Udyan, near Dhaka's Farmgate, as a Metro Rail project office and storage facility for construction materials. Although the construction has been complete, the park is not yet open to public.

An organisation, Shaheed Anwara Udyan Raksha Andalan, held a solidarity gathering in front of the park to press home their demand.
