Shahjahan Omar, Awami League candidate for Jhalakathi-1 and former vice president of BNP central committee, said if 60-80 percent of voters do not turn out in the upcoming parliamentary elections, many countries will impose sanctions on Bangladesh.

He made such a statement while speaking as chief guest at a gathering in Jhalakathi's Kathalia on Sunday.
