Sugata Bose, gardiner professor of Oceanic History at Harvard University, is the grandnephew of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. During a recent visit to Bangladesh, Professor Bose in a conversation with The Daily Star spoke on various issues including the Liberation War of Bangladesh, a partition of 1947, recent political developments in the subcontinent, the state of Bengali language and literature.
