Off-road trek trail Moto Madness BD 2025 held in Jaflong hills

The second season of the off-road trek trail event, Moto Madness BD, took place in the hilly terrain of Jaflong in Sylhet on Friday, featuring 75 motorcycle racers from across the country navigating winding, rocky paths.
Organised by the Bangladesh Biking Community in partnership with Deshi Biker, the day-long event attracted over a thousand registered spectators from various parts of the country.
Event organiser HR Hasib said, "Growing up, I saw people racing motorcycles on highways as Bangladesh lacks dedicated racing platforms like MotoGP due to economic constraints. I aimed to create a trek trail utilising Sylhet's scenic beauty."
The main competition was divided into two segments: Dirt Bike Racing and Commuter Bike Racing. Racers competed individually on the designated trail, with the fastest to complete the trek declared the winner. At the end of the contest, six winners were selected from 15 participants in the dirt bike segment, while 12 winners were chosen from 60 competitors in the commuter bike segment.
Hasib emphasised the importance of promoting safe racing and said, "We want racers to compete on designated tracks instead of highways. Bangladesh now has an international motorsport racer, Avik Anwar. We believe one day our motorcycle racers will also compete globally."
Abdullah Ishtiaq, a biker from Dhaka, said, "We often tour domestically and internationally, but never practised dirt racing before. This was our first time, and I believe this segment deserves recognition in sports so we can compete internationally someday."
Abu Saeed, lead racer and brand ambassador of Kawasaki in Bangladesh, said, "This is an excellent initiative opening new horizons. The idea of dirt racing is gradually taking shape in Bangladesh. These rocky trails are perfect for off-road trek racing. With skill development, I believe we will one day compete on the international stage."
In addition to the main racing event, test-drive opportunities were provided for enthusiasts, allowing hundreds of visitors to experience motorcycles from Royal Enfield, CF Motors, and Yamaha.
