Siddikur Rahman moved into contention of an Asian Tour title with a four-under-par in the third round of the Mercuries Taiwan Masters yesterday.

The two-time Asian Tour winner traded one bogey for five birdies at the Taiwan Golf and Country Club yesterday to post an aggregate score of seven-under-par (209), two shots behind joint leaders Miguel Tabuena of Philippines and Ajeetesh Sandhu of India.

The 34-year-old, who is currently in 29th position in this year's order of merit and has failed to make it into top 10 in 12 events, reaped rewards for his consistent play over the first three rounds of the 900,000-dollar Mercuries Masters, with scores of 70, 71 and 68.

The Bangladeshi golfer had last won an Asian Tour title -- the second of his two -- back in 2013.
