Anai Mogini's 80th-minute strike helped Bangladesh beat India 1-0 in the final to retain the SAFF U-19 Women's Championship title at the Birshreshtha Shaheed Mostafa Kamal Stadium in Kamalapur today.

Mogini floated in a cross from the right flank that found its way back into the net after India's goalkeeper misjudged the flight of the ball, pushing it back into her own goal.

Earlier, it seemed like the game would go beyond regulation time as Bangladesh, despite repeated attacks, were twice denied by the crossbar and once saw the ball get cleared from the goal line in the first half. However, the hosts were able to break the deadlock with just around 10 minutes left.

For this match, Bangladesh coach Golam Rabbani Choton made five changes from the 12-0 thrashing of Sri Lanka in their previous match, but preferred Shaheda Akter Ripa over Marzia following the former's hattrick in the last match.

Bangladesh dominated throughout the tournament, scoring 20 goals while conceding none.

The hosts also registered a similar 1-0 win against India when the two sides met in the group stages.
