Bangladesh bowlers curbed things back after a blistering start from Zimbabwe batsmen but the hosts still managed to put on 193 runs on the board for five wickets in the third and final series-deciding T20I match at Harare today after winning the toss.

Opener Tadiwanashe Marumani looked to take on the bowling from the off and found luck on his side in his brave approach, managing to find the boundary with some hard hitting on more than a few occasion, catches either falling short of the fielders or bypassing them. Wessley Madhevere on the other hand looked in supreme touch, hitting Taskin Ahmed for five fours on the trot in the fourth over of the innings. Marumani departed to Mohammad Saifuddin in the sixth over after a 20-ball 27 with Shakib Al Hasan putting a squeeze on the run-rate shortly but then in-form Regis Chakabva tormented the Tigers with a blistering knock. Three big sixes off Nasum Ahmed saw Zimbabwe score at more than 11 an over as they put on 122 for 1 in the 11th over.

It was Soumya Sarkar who put on the brakes in the scoring, removing the dangerous Chakabva and Zimbabwe skipper Sikandar Raza in the 12th over. Chakbva (48 off 22) tried to go over deep square leg but fantastic awareness from Mohammad Naim saw him flick the ball back for Shamim Hossain who took the catch. Raza saw his stumps castled after Soumya's delivery ricocheted off his stumps to depart for a duck.

Madhevere completed his fifty but fell to Shakib after a 36-ball 54, trying to accelerate after some decent overs from Bangladesh. Ryan Burl powered to a 15-ball 31, getting stuck into Saifuddin in the death overs as Zimbabwe put a big total on the board. Saifuddin leaked 50 runs for a wicket in his four overs while Taskin was expensive as well, giving 28 runs in just the two overs he bowled. Soumya bagged two wickets for 19 runs in three overs while Shakib and Shoriful Islam bagged one each.
