Shanto issues warning to Zimbabwe about ‘extraordinary’ Nahid

Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto said Zimbabwe will realise how lethal Nahid Rana can be when they face him in the first Test at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium beginning on Sunday.
Rana, with his raw pace, has quickly established himself as Bangladesh's enforcer with the red-ball and also garnered global attention.
But Zimbabwe's veteran batter Sean Williams downplayed Rana as a threat yesterday while talking to the media in Sylhet, saying they have faced bowling machines that are quicker than the 22-year-old Bangladeshi quick.
In the pre-match press conference before the first of the two Tests, Bangladesh captain Shanto was asked about William's comment and in response, Shanto issued a warning to the Zimbabwean batters.
"Tomorrow in the match, when Nahid bowls and the opponents bat against him, you will see it in their body language, how fast Nahid bowls and how extraordinary he is," Shanto told the media.
