Ifty ton rescues Bangladesh Emerging on opening day

Iftakhar Ifty struck a century to rescue Bangladesh Emerging team from a precarious position on the opening day of their second four-day match against South Africa Emerging at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur on Tuesday.
Bangladesh found themselves reeling at 58-5 after a top-order collapse, with five of the top six batters dismissed for single-digit scores. Opener Ifty stood firm amid the tumble, anchoring the innings with a patient 291-ball 109. His resilient knock came to an end as the last wicket to fall on the day.
Ifty received crucial support from lower-order batter Moin Khan, who contributed with a valuable 91. The pair helped steer the team to a respectable total of 242-7 at Stumps. However, the duo's dismissal left Rakibul Hasan (2 off 15) and Ripon Mondol (0* off 4) to navigate the closing moments of the day.
For the visitors, pacer Andile Mogakane led the bowling attack with three wickets, while off-spinner Tshepo Ntuli claimed two.
