South African David Miller have been going through a busy schedule mostly because of his wedding preparations. The left-hander is set to tie the knot on March 9 and acknowledged that he would have his wife with him when he goes to play the IPL and provided some humour, clapping after fielding questions over his marriage while talking to reporters at Mirpur today.

The Proteas batter played the SA T20 before coming here to Bangladesh to play the BPL with Fortune Barishal. Miller talked about his busy schedule and also his batting plan going in at number 7.

Barishal will play Chattogram Challengers in the eliminator match tomorrow and he was looking forward to it.

"Tomorrow I am really looking forward to quarterfinals and it's gonna be a big game and the guys played really really well. For me coming in so late, just want to add as much as I can to the team. Make sure the younger guys are learning off me and I am learning off them and making sure we play good cricket," he said.

"Yea it's a lot of demand and stuff on the body but you need to know how your body ticks and what your body needs. I don't want to train too hard today. It was a couple throws and just feeling getting bat and ball, getting used to the conditions in the nets and obviously getting to know the guys as well as I have only arrived this morning. So it's more for me to just get to know the team a lot better. Takes a while to do that and I have only been here for two hours. Looking forward to tomorrow's game and I think it's about understanding your body," he added.

He also remembered his last stint in BPL.

"I think it was Chittagong Kings that I played for and I just remember the kit was very very pink. But I was here for three games and was here for a week and I always have fond memories of Bangladesh," he said.

Miller has consistently been one of the most destructive batters in his position. Asked on his secret of how he approaches his innings in order to take the game deep, he talked about his comfort zone.

"Over time you understand your game a lot better. In T20s things happen very quickly and there a lot of different situations you find yourself in. It's just making sure I am sticking to what works for me for the beginning of my innings. Just finding out the conditions, run-rate required and making sure I am comfortable before I actually get going. Sometimes I go in with just three overs to go and I have to go straightaway. Every situation is different."

The left-hander is set to tie the knot on the March 9 and been busy with plans. He acknowledged that he could not watch BPL live telecasts but been checking standings.

"To be honest I haven't watched any cricket. I have taken time off and getting ready to get married soon. There' been a lot of organising behind the scenes. But I have been following on my phone with Cricinfo and making sure I am up to date with the table and where the guys are at," he said.

Asked on what his mantra is for number seven, he said: "In cricket you gotta make mistakes. Things are going to happen so it's about making sure you learn from your mistakes as early as possible. You never going to succeed all the time because this game is very difficult. Just making sure they are true to themselves and train really hard and enjoy the game."
