Al-Amin taken for scan after blow to head

Dhaka Metropolis batter Al-Amin Jr suffered a blow to the head and was later taken to the hospital during his side's National Cricket League (NCL) encounter against Chattogram Division at the BKSP Ground 3 in Savar today.
The incident took place on the second day of the play when left-arm pacer Mehedi Hasan Rana's bouncer in the third ball of the 27th over struck the right-hander's helmet. Al-Amin, however, batted for about six more overs after receiving initial treatment on the ground following the blow.
But the 28-year-old was not comfortable since the hit and eventually left the field for a city scan.
"Mahedi's ball hit Al-Amin on his head. He batted for a while after that. But, he had to leave the field after that as he was feeling uncomfortable. After that we did not want to take any risk regarding him and sent him to the hospital for a city scan," said Dhaka Metropolis manager Amin Khan to The Daily Star.
Dhaka team manager also said that Al-Amin's injury is nothing to be concerned about.
"Hopefully it is nothing serious and he will be fine after getting some rest tonight. Our team physio and BCB physio attended him and we hope that he can take the field tomorrow," added Amin.
Dhaka Metropolis might need Al-Amin's service tomorrow as they ended the day at 119 for four, still trailing by 326 runs.
