Pacers Ruyel Miah and Yeasin Arafat shone with the ball as Mohammedan Sporting Club ended their Bangabandhu Dhaka Premier Division T20 League campaign with a convincing 25-run win via D/L method over Prime Doleshwar in their final Super League encounter in Mirpur today.

Following five consecutive defeats, this was Mohammedan's first win in the Super League stage of the tournament. The result, however, does not change the positions of the teams in the standings. Mohammedan ended at the bottom of the Super League table with 15 points from 16 games while Doleshwar stayed third with 21 points from nine wins in 16 outings.

Ruyel bagged a fifer while Yeasin scalped four wickets to help bundle out Doleshwar for just 81 in 11.4 overs after Mohammedan scored 103 for five in a game that was reduced to 13-over-a-side due to rain. Doleshwar, however, were set a revised target of 107 from 13 overs, courtesy of the D/L method.

Despite conceding 10 in his first over, Ruyel recovered well -- picking up the wicket of Doleshwar opener Towfiq Khan in the final delivery of that over and scalping the wickets of four others later -- as the left-arm paceman ended with career-best T20 figures of five for 21 in his 2.4 overs. And had a catch not been dropped in his very first legal delivery, the 20-year-old could have finished with better match figures.

Yeasin gave Mohammedan crucial breakthroughs when he picked up the wickets of Imranuzzaman and Saif Hassan, both of whom got starts but could not convert those into something meaningful, in his very first over after being introduced. He ended with impressive figures of four for 11 in his three overs.

Earlier, a cameo knock of 23 off just eight deliveries from skipper Shuvagata Hom helped Mohammedan pile up a decent total after a sluggish start. Hom struck two boundaries and as many sixes at the death to take Mohammedan past the 100-run mark.
