Even though Safa Kabir usually does romantic dramas, she will do a Victory Day drama called Potaka. The drama was written by Rudra Mahfuz and is set to be directed by Kazi Saif Ahmed. Tausif Mahbub will star alongside Safa Kabir. Safa said regarding the drama, "This is a very unique drama. For the first time, I got the chance to play such a different character. The character I will play is called Maleka. Maleka is a helping hand in a house. The memories of our Liberation War always fill people with passion, and the effect it has had on our mindset will be held up in a new way through this drama." The drama will be aired television on December 16, 2018.
