Canadian University of Bangladesh (CUB) and Universiti Teknologi Petronas, Malaysia (UTP) have signed a memorandum of understanding on June 17, 2019 before conducting a seminar on “Higher Studies opportunity in UTP” at the auditorium of the university.

Prof. Dr. Mohammad Mahfuzul Islam, VC, CUB and Prof Dr. Hilmi Mukhtar, Deputy Vice Chancellor, UTP, Malaysia signed the MoU on behalf of their respective universities.

Academic partnership, credit transfer, resource sharing are the main issues of this MoU. UTP is the only Malaysian private university to secure their position in the Top 100 in the QS World University Ranking (Asia) and one of the top few universities in Malaysia to get 6* rating.

Among the UTP delegates, Prof. Dr. Hilmi Mukhtar; Associate Professor Dr. Jafreezal Jaafar, Dean, Faculty of Science & Information Technology; and Ahmad Zamdi A Hamid, Senior Executive, Admission & Records, Registrar’s office were present during the MoU signing ceremony.

Chowdhury Nafeez Sarafat, Founder and Chairman, Board of Trustees of CUB chaired the programme. Shahnul Hasan Khan, Executive Chairman; Prof. Dr. Nazrul Islam, Pro-VC; and Bahauddin Muhammad Isa, Acting Registrar of CUB were present in the ceremony.

The programme was supervised by Dr. Md Shahrukh Adnan Khan, Dean (Acting), School of Science and Engineering and Head of EEE Dept. jointly with the Director, International Affairs and Director MBA/EMBA Programs Dr. Mamoon Al Bashir.
