Khaleda suffering from chronic diseases: Minister

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan today said BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia is physically sound in jail but she has been suffering from some chronic diseases.
“Khaleda Zia is in jail as per directives by the court. She is getting all the facilities according to the jail code", the minister said.
“She is physically sound but she has been suffering from some chronic diseases. Her physical condition is being checked up there,” he further said.

Khaleda Zia landed in jail on February 8 after a special court sentenced her to five years' rigorous imprisonment in Zia Orphanage Trust corruption case.
