Afroza Abbas to lead BNP’s women front

Afroza Abbas, wife of BNP standing committee member Mirza Abbar, has been appointed as president of the party’s women wing Jatiyatabadi Mohila Dal.
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir today approved the committee in line with the directives of the party chief Khaleda Zia, said a press release floated by the party for media this afternoon.
Sultana Ahmed has been made general secretary of the party’s wing front, while Nur Jahan Yesmin and Helen Jerin Khan have been made vice president and joint general secretary of the committee respectively, the press release said.
Alongside, BNP also announced names of Peyara Mostafa and Razia Alim as presidents of Dhaka North and South units of the women front respectively, the release added.
