JCI Bangladesh, The Daily Samakal organise pre-budget discussion

Keeping the mission of developing the youth towards positive change, a round table conference on the upcoming budget has been organised jointly by JCI Bangladesh and The Daily Samakal.

The pre-budget discussion titled “Tarunner Vabna” was held at The Westin Dhaka on June 1. JCI Dhaka North was the Strategic partner of the event.

Planning Minister MA Mannan was the chief guest of the programme.

The special guests of the programme were: Lawmaker from Cumilla-2 constituency Selima Ahmed, also the president of Bangladesh Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BWCCI); lawmaker from Jamalpur-5 Md Mozaffar Hossain; and Barrister Shah Ali Farhad, special assistant to the Prime Minister.

A distinguished panel of renowned speakers from different sectors of Bangladesh shared their thoughts and ideas at the event regarding the budget for the upcoming fiscal year 2019-2020.

JCI members, distinguished business leaders, students, professionals, entrepreneurs, government officials, civil society representatives and other dignitaries attended the discussion.

The programme was very interactive and an excellent platform for youths to share their ideas, thoughts and expectations from the National Budget FY 2019-2020.

Mustafiz Shafi, acting editor of The Daily Samakal, and Irfan Islam, national president of JCI Bangladesh, hosted the pre-budget discussion.

The programme was convened by from Ismat Jahan JCI Bangladesh, Imran Kadir from The Daily Samakal and Mahira Habib from JCI Dhaka North.

Other distinguished officers of JCI Bangladesh and The Daily Samakal were also present at the programme.

The platinum sponsor of the event was Prime Bank and the silver sponsors are BNO, Walton, Omicon Group and Rupayan Group.

The programme’s research partner was Creavision, logistics partner was Team Event, photography partner was Checkmate, digital partner was Brandylane and media partner was Channel 24.

It is mentionable that JCI is a non-profit global organisation of young active citizens aged 18 to 40 who are engaged and committed to creating impact in their communities.

JCI gathers the active citizens, individuals who have invested in the future of our world, from all sectors of society.
